Abstract

La rutina informativa es va trencar de cop quan la notícia es va difondre a través dels mitjans de comunicació: Julián Sancristóbal, ex-responsable de la Seguretat de l'Estat, era empresonat per ordre del jutge Baltasar Garzón. No faltava gaire pel Nadal del 1994 i molts vam haver de treure la pols de la memòria per recuperar les sigles dels GAL. Instal.lats en el desconcert, encara no érem capaços de valorar en tota la seva dimensió l'abast de la notícia, però qui més qui menys sabia que, a partir d'aquell moment, les coses no tornarien a ser les mateixes. Com passa en un moviment tel.lúric, les grans estructures -polítiques, econòmiques i informatives-, que des de feia temps havien entrat en una dinàmica d'enfrontament, es disposaven a lliurar obertament un combat de conseqüències imprevisibles.
