Editorial Practices for Gender Equality

Tripodos is committed to gender policies that promote real equality between women and men in our society. This commitment is reflected in several actions:

-The journal has introduced a "Gender Editor" to oversee areas where equality measures can be implemented. The first action taken was to modify APA citation guidelines, requiring authors to write out the full name of the cited author instead of using abbreviations, in order to increase the visibility of women in the academic and scientific fields.

-Authors interested in publishing in Tripodos are encouraged to use inclusive and gender-neutral language.

In line with this commitment, we recommend that those interested in publishing in Tripodos follow the guidelines set out in the "Guía para un uso no sexista de la lengua" by CSIC, as well as Gendered Innovations: How Gender Analysis Contributes to Research and Gendered Innovations 2: How Inclusive Analysis Contributes to Research and Innovation: Policy Review by the EU.
