Leap forward for ‘Tripodos’ in the Web of Science and Scopus rankings

Tripodos, the academic journal of the Blanquerna School of Communication and International Relations (URL), has experienced a substantial improvement in leading international rankings.

Regarding the Web of Science (WoS), the journal Tripodos, indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), has climbed significantly in the latest JCR edition (2025), moving to a Q2 in the Communication category compared to Q4 in 2024 within the JIF (ESCI) ranking. Meanwhile, in the JCI (ESCI) ranking, it has risen from quartile Q4 to Q3.

In the case of Scopus, Tripodos consolidates its position in the latest SJR edition (2025) in Q3 in the Communication category, but very close to Q2. It is worth highlighting the increase in its SJR impact indicator from 0.173 in 2024 to 0.259 in 2025, and its CiteScore indicator, which has gone from 0.9 to 1.5.

Currently, Tripodos is ranked among the highest-rated Communication journals in Spain.
