Abstract
“Feminismo y cine de mujeres: categorización y debate durante los años setenta y ochenta” aborda una revisión hermenéutica de la categoría de cine de mujeres en su concepción, evolución y consolidación como objeto central de estudio de la teoría feminista anglosajona del cine durante los años setenta y ochenta del pasado siglo. El artículo pretende rastrear los pormenores y complejidades de un concepto sinuoso categorizado, desde sus orígenes, como un género cinematográfico eminentemente “femenino”. Un género que se perfilaba como el formato cinematográfico popular más cercano al deseo, la fantasía, las inquietudes y ansiedades de las mujeres y que se convirtió en importante caldo de cultivo para una reflexión profunda en torno a su virtualidad transgresora. “Feminism and the Woman’s Film: Categorization and Debate During the 70s and 80s” presents a hermeneutical review of the category of “Woman’s Film” in its conception, evolution and consolidation as a central object of study of Feminist Film Theory during the 1970s and 1980s. This article intends to trace the details and complexities of a winding concept categorized, from its origins, as a fundamentally female-oriented film genre. Considered to be the popular film genre that was closest to the desires, fantasies, worries and anxieties of women, it became an important breeding ground for a profound reflection on its potential for transgression.Downloads
