El periodismo de datos en los medios de referencia españoles
Abstract
La implantación del periodismo de datosen España es realmente reciente. Los equiposmás consolidados apenas tienen dosaños de experiencia —pues surgen a partirde la aprobación de la conocida como Leyde Transparencia, a finales de 2013— yse hallan aún en un proceso de configuración.Esta investigación tiene, por tanto,una finalidad exploratoria de un fenómenoincipiente y se plantea, como objetivo principal,definir teóricamente y monitorizaresta práctica periodística, estudiar la actualtipología de equipos de datos y su concepcióndentro de la estructura de las redaccionesde los medios impresos y digitalesmás importantes. Por ello, la metodologíadel presente artículo combina las entrevistaspersonales, la observación directa yel análisis de contenidos —a través de unexamen diacrónico sobre dos importantescitas electorales de 2015— con el propósitode categorizar los productos que seestán realizando actualmente y las nuevasnarrativas que pueden llegar a ofrecer. The implementation of data journalismin Spain is a truly recent phenomenon.The more established teams only havetwo years of experience, given that theyarose with the approval of the so-calledTransparency Act, at the end of 2013,and they are still in the process of configuration.Therefore this research is exploratoryin purpose. The main aim is totheoretically define data journalism asit is carried out in Spain nowadays andshine a light on it, studying the currenttypes of data teams and their role inthe composition of the most importantSpanish print and digital media. Themethodology of this article combinespersonal interviews, direct observationand content analysis –through a diachronicexamination of two major electoralevents in 2015 – in order to categorizethe products that are currentlybeing created and the new narrativesthat they might come to offer.Downloads
